| Meet the Mountain Regional Director |
Raúl García is from Midkiff, Texas, a town of approximately 90 people in a rural part of West Texas. He attended Rankin High School in Rankin, Texas, and his high school graduating class had only 17 students! After graduating from high school, Raúl decided to attend a university with a few more students and matriculated to The University of Texas at Austin. While attending UT-Austin, Raúl was involved in the Mexican American Culture Committee and the Texas Interdisciplinary Plan. Raúl also worked during his undergraduate years at the Benson Latin American Collection, the premier Latin American library outside of Latin America. Raúl majored in Government and minored in Mexican American Studies, graduating in the spring of 2009. Raúl loved Austin very much during his undergraduate years and decided to take his talents back to Austin for law school. Raúl began attending The University of Texas School of Law in the fall of 2010. During law school, Raúl has been involved in the Chicano/Hispanic Law Students Association and the Texas Hispanic Journal of Law and Policy.
